Description
Strand Platt is an L-shaped house from the 18th century, now divided into separate units. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring seven windows and two dormers on Rookery Lane, as well as two windows and one dormer facing High Street. The exterior is stuccoed and has a modillion eaves cornice, with a hipped tiled roof. The windows are set in moulded architrave surrounds and retain their glazing bars. Above the north doorway, there is a round-headed window. There are two doorways, each with pilasters and pediments. The doors have six fielded panels; the north door includes a semi-circular fanlight and has the top two panels cut away and glazed, while the south door features a semi-circular blocked tympanum.
