Description

9A Pelham Place is a building constructed between 1820 and 1825, designed by architect Joseph Kay. It is part of the original layout of Pelham Place, alongside Nos 7, 8, and 9. The building is stuccoed and features a parapet. It is tall and narrow, with four storeys and an attic, and is one window wide. Most original details have been lost, and the ground floor now houses a modern shop. The upper floors have sash windows with glazing bars; the first floor includes side-lights, the second floor has tall windows, and the attic features side-lights as well. This building is included for its group value with Nos 7, 8, 9A, and 9, as well as Nos 1 to 15 (consecutive) and No 14A Pelham Crescent.
