Description

This house, now flats, originally known as Gildredge Manor House, occupies a site with medieval origins. While some interior features likely date back to the 16th century, it underwent significant alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries. The building comprises two parallel blocks, one facing north and the other south, with a small wing extending northwards at the eastern end of the northern block. The north block is two storeys high and has a hipped roof covered in red tiles, while the south block is also two storeys high with a hipped slate roof. The windows are a mix of casement and sash windows. A porch is located on the west front, featuring a stone doorway with an obtusely pointed arch.
