Description
Old Bakehouse Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with a 19th-century front elevation. It is timber-framed and covered in painted render on the front. The roof is plain tiled and features a skylight on the right side. The building has two storeys with an irregular arrangement of windows, including three on the first floor and four on the ground floor. The windows are mostly sliding casements, except for the central two on the ground floor; the left one is non-opening, while the right one is a sash window without glazing bars. To the left of the centre, there is a half-glazed door set in an arched surround, and a secondary door in a raised surround is paired with another door to the right, which is located under a shop blind-box. Inside, the timber frame is visible in most rooms, featuring large scantling.
