Description
Nos 132 and 133 on High Street are an early 19th century pair of houses. They are built of yellow brick with stucco ground floors and rise to three storeys. The windows are arranged in a 2:1 double-hung sash pattern, with a slight projection on the left side. The buildings feature two early 19th century shop fronts that share a similar design, characterized by segmental arches with rectangular panels below, and modified Doric pilasters on either side adorned with sunk running fret ornament, a frieze, and a cornice. The doorways are round-headed and recessed, each with semi-circular and rectangular traceried fanlights above. The roof parapet is slightly higher than those of the adjacent houses. Nos 126 to 138 form a group with these buildings.
