Description
Woodlands House is a large house dating from the late 18th century, with 20th-century extensions added to the rear on the left. It features a hipped slate roof with wide overhanging eaves and a large chimney on the right. The walls are made of brick. The main block is two storeys high and has four glazing bar sash windows, with the second window from the right being narrower than the others. All windows have stone cills and lintels on the first floor, and segmental brick arches on the ground floor. There is a half-glazed door, the second from the right, which has a semi-circular radiating fanlight. This door is sheltered by a portico that has a segmental open pedimented hood, supported by two plain columns and pilasters. The extensions are also made of brick, with slate roofs and glazing bar sashes.
