Description
The gate piers, gates, overthrow, rails, and side piers at the entrance to Inglewood Health Hydro date from the 19th century. They feature brick piers with moulded stone bases and corniced stone caps. The main gate piers are topped with standing stone lions, while the side piers have sitting stone lions that hold painted shields. The side and gate piers are connected by iron rails that have fleur de lis tops and intermediate arrow-headed dog rails, with ornamental panels at either end. A wrought iron overthrow is adorned with a painted shield and flanked by leaf ornaments. The wrought iron gates include central panels that display the initials HJW on the left and MGW on the right.
