Description
Shalford Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century, with a south front from the 18th century that is dated 1782 in brick, and a 19th-century addition to the rear. The building is constructed of red brick with a plinth, a dentil brick eaves cornice, and an old tile roof featuring an end stack to the right. It has two storeys and three bays, with glazing bar sashes that have exposed wooden boxes and segmental heads. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with a plain surround and a 19th-century cast iron porch. Inside, there are remains of 17th-century timber framing and possibly a re-used moulded beam in the wall of the first-floor right-hand bedroom.
