Description
Limes Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations to an earlier building. It is constructed of sarsen rubble with brick dressings, featuring offset eaves and a ½ hipped plain tile roof. A square chimney is located in the right corner. The house has two storeys and an attic and incorporates two gabled dormers with casements. The front elevation has two vertical sliding sashes with a central glazing bar. A six-panelled door is positioned on the left, sheltered by a flat hood supported on brackets. A one-storey wing is attached to the right, built with a timber frame, brick nogging, and a ½ hipped old tile roof, and features one casement window facing the road and a four-light casement in the gable. The left gable is decorated with shaped tiles. A long one-storey and attic extension extends to the left, with a ½ hipped old tile roof, two flat-topped dormers, and three casement windows on the ground floor. An irregular wing forms the rear of the house.
