Description
Cruck Cottage is a 16th-century cottage that has been altered over time. It stands two storeys high and features a mix of construction styles, including part timber framed cruck construction, sarsen stone, and brick quoins, with brick noggin and a sarsen base for the timber framed section. The cottage has a thatched half-hipped roof, with a chimney located to the left of the centre. The northeast front displays irregular casement windows, while the gable on the northwest side has a reconstructed angular bay window on the upper floor and one window on the ground floor. All windows are fitted with modern leaded lights. Inside, there is evidence of a jettied solar.
