Description

The Stone Building, located at The Wharf, is a mid-19th century granary built after 1849. It was formerly part of a wharf building complex that served the corn trade on the Kennet and Avon Canal, which has since been demolished. The structure is two storeys high and features a slate roof, with Swindon stone ashlar and brick gables. The openings are fitted with timber lintels, and there are two-light mullioned windows that include glazing bars. The doors are boarded, and there is a first-floor hoist with bracket double doors, a platform, and a canopy.
