Description

The Church of England Mortuary Chapel at Southampton Old Cemetery was built around 1850, possibly by the architects J. and J. Francis. It is designed in the Norman style and constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, topped with a slate roof. The chapel features gable ends with stone coping and an apsidal-ended east end. A bellcote is located at the west end. The entrance includes a round-arched doorcase, and the windows are double round-arched, with several blank spaces present in the structure.
