Description
The Lodge to Southampton Old Cemetery is a building possibly designed by J. and J. Francis, dated 1848 and 1882, and is constructed in the Tudor style. It stands two storeys high and is made of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The roof is slate, featuring two gables on the north-west elevation and one on the south-east. The stone coping and saddle stones add to its character. The north-west elevation includes oriel windows on the first floor, while the south-east elevation has a gable that projects through two floors, featuring a mullioned and transomed window. There is also a gabled porch.
