Description

The Royal Standard Inn is an early 19th-century building located on Westgate Street. It features three storeys with plain painted stuccoed walls and a castellated parapet. The roof is tiled. The main front has five sash windows, including one blank window on the second floor. A wide central doorcase is adorned with engaged Doric columns, a modified frieze, and a cornice above. Additionally, there is a back entrance that opens onto No 8 Westgate Street.
