Description

This is a terrace of three houses, built around 1840. The front elevation is yellow brick with stucco detailing, while the rear elevations are red brick. The buildings are three storeys high with a basement, topped by a parapet with a cement coping. Full-height pilasters visually separate each house. Each house has one window facing the street, with vertical glazing bars. The first-floor windows are triple-paned, with a decorative cornice and console brackets, and cast iron balconies are present at numbers 25 and 27. The ground floor is rusticated stucco, with windows featuring arched heads and round-headed doorways. The terrace is bordered by cast iron area railings. The group value relates to its architectural homogeneity and contribution to the character of The Polygon.
