Description
Cippenham Lodge, comprising Nos. 1 to 5, is a house that has been converted into flats. It dates from the early to mid 18th century and is constructed of red brick with grey headers. The building features a hipped roof covered with old tiles and has two storeys plus an attic. Notable architectural details include a plat band, a moulded wooden eaves cornice, and three flat-topped dormers fitted with glazing bar sashes. There are two end corner stacks, as well as stacks in the centre and to the right at the rear. The windows are glazing bar sashes with exposed wooden boxes and gauged heads. The first floor has six bays, while the ground floor has seven bays, with a central six-panelled door and a 20th-century gabled porch. At the rear, there is a one-storey wing that features a central ridge stack.
