Description
The Seymour Tomb, located adjacent to the south transeptal chapel of the Church of St. Mary, is a chest tomb dating from 1733. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded base and top. The tomb has two arched panels on each side and one at each end, all adorned with imposts, keystones, and carved spandrels. The inscription commemorates Captain Henry Seymour, the son of Sir Joseph Seymour, Knight, who passed away on May 1, 1733, at the age of 77 years.
