Description
This is a house, likely originally a shop with living space above, dating from the early 19th century. It has been altered in the 20th and 21st centuries.
The house is built as a long, rectangular shape, running east to west, with its main facade facing east onto London Street. The east-facing front is stuccoed and painted, while the rear is of red brick. The roof is slated and features a stuccoed chimney stack.
The front elevation is two windows wide and extends over four storeys, including a basement level. The ground floor has been updated with a banded stone facade, featuring a doorway to the south and two square windows placed high above the basement. Horizontal string courses divide the upper floors. Large first-floor window openings have moulded architraves and contain six-over-six sash windows. Smaller second-floor windows have three-over-six sashes, and the square attic windows feature three-over-three sashes. A cornice with a moulded blocking course sits below a shallow pediment.
