Description

Elm Lodge is an early 19th-century detached house with a carriage sweep. It is built of painted ashlar with a hipped slate roof and prominent corniced chimneys. The house has two storeys and features first-floor sill bands and a moulded eaves cornice. It originally had three bays of glazing bar sash windows, with the outer bays being full-height bows. A central fluted Greek Doric porch is present, though the triglyphs and cornice are missing, and it contains double doors with edge glazing.

To the west of the main house is a shallow bow, interrupted by a later extension. This extension incorporates a two-storey canted stucco bay with 19th-century sash windows and a cornice, along with a lower, two-storey, three-window extension to the left.

The interior is said to retain a good contemporary staircase.
