Description

St John’s Lodge comprises three cottages of varying heights and dates, with origins in the 17th century and later extensions. The cottages have rendered and pebbledashed fronts. The roofs are tiled, with older tiles visible at the rear. The central cottage is likely from the 17th century and features two modern three-light oriels on the first floor and a verandah porch on the ground floor. The central doorway has reeded details, and the interior retains contemporary stud partitions. The right-hand cottage is probably from the late 18th century, with glazing bar sash windows on the first floor, blind boxes, and a central porch on the ground floor, now displaying a two-window facade. The left-hand cottage dates to the early 19th century and is a single bay. The rear elevation incorporates glazing bar sash windows, exposed timberwork within two gables and a gabled break.
