Description

Talbot House is an early 19th-century building located on Castle Street. It is three storeys high and constructed of stucco. The facade features four sash windows and has a cornice with a blocking course that includes a raised and panelled centre section. To the left, there is a single-storey entrance wing that has a six-panelled door set in an arched recess with archivolts. Above this entrance, the cornice and blocking course are adorned with a carved seated talbot. At the rear of the building, there is a canted bay that extends to the basement and ground floors. The roof is hipped and covered with slate.
