Description

This early 19th-century house, now a shop and flat, is located on Ordnance Row, Portsea. The building is constructed of yellow gault brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with a plain tile roof. It is three storeys high and three bays wide. The central bay features a 20th-century two-leaf panelled door set within an original, plain stuccoed architrave, with a 20th-century corniced hood and brackets above. To either side of the door are 20th-century two-pane bow windows, complete with a fascia and cornice. The first floor has three sash windows, each with 12 panes. The upper, second floor windows are also sash windows, but with unequal 9-pane glazing, and are set under rendered flat arches. A brick dentil course runs along the building, topped with a stone cap and stone coping to the parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
