Description

No. 47 High Street is an 18th-century building that was altered in 1880. It is constructed of stone and features a modern pantile roof with brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and a central six-panel door set within a wooden doorcase that includes pilasters with carved scrolls and a frieze displaying the date, topped with a moulded hood. On either side of the door, there is a canted bay window with a hipped slate roof. The first floor has three sash windows, each adorned with segmental stone arches and keyblocks. This building is included for its group value.
