Description
Moat House is a house that was recast in 1784 from an earlier structure and has since been altered. It is built of rubble stone and features a modern pantile roof with flanking brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and the south front consists of three bays. The central entrance has an eight-panel pitch-pine door set in a modern open porch, with French windows on either side. Above, there are three-light casements and a two-light window in the center, all with timber lintels. At the rear, there is an annexe with a separate lower roof, which has two storeys and three windows. The house is situated within a dried-up moat.
