Description

No. 60 High Street is a building dating from around 1700. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped tiled roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has a stone plinth, bands, and quoins, along with a plaster coved cornice. The façade includes five sash windows set in reveals beneath flat arches, with no glazing bars on the first and second floors. The entrance is highlighted by a wooden doorcase that has two reeded Ionic pilasters, an entablature with a pulvinated frieze, and a dentilled pediment. The door itself is a six-fielded panel design with a fanlight above. No. 60, along with Nos. 66 and 68 High Street, forms a group.
