Description

CHURCH GREEN ROAD 1. 5l35 (North Side) BLETCHLEY The Rectory Stable Block to the Rectory SP 8633 4/24 II 2. Built in 1834, restored and extended to rear 1952-53. 2 storey yellow brick, slightly gothicised. 3 bay entrance front with broad, shallow, gabled break to east end. 2 gabled half dormers projecting with moulded stucco bases, and breaking through eaves. Canted bay window to left hand on ground floor with chamfered stucco reveals. Gabled break has 2 light 1st floor and 3 light ground floor thin mullioned windows, dripmould over on 1st floor. Double glazed and fielded paned door with studding having 4 centred marginal glazed fanlight - the whole set in stepped chamfered surround with flat dropped label mould over and panelled spandrels. East front is similar except for modern casements to ground floor and no fanlight over door. Single storey stable block ranged round small yard to west also of yellow brick, slate roofs. One doorway with reset keystone dated 1754.
