Description
The stable block, likely built in 1694 alongside The Old Rectory, is located approximately 30 meters northeast of the rectory. It is constructed from limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a stone slate roof with a brick stack. The building has a rectangular plan and is two stories high, with a four-windowed south front. The ground floor includes four stone-mullioned casements with ovolo moulding, one of which has had its mullion removed. There is a central double doorway set within a cambered arch, featuring 19th-century plank doors surrounded by a flat-chamfered dressed stone frame. The first floor has one ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casement, along with two 2-light and one 3-light 20th-century stone-mullioned casements. The roof is hipped and includes a central slate-hung ventilation or pigeon access feature topped with a pyramidal roof and finial. The interior has not been inspected.
