Description

No. 84 on High Street is an early 18th-century house that has been carefully restored. It is constructed of red brick with stone quoins, a string course, and a plinth. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a moulded stone cornice and gables on the side elevation. There are five flush sash windows with glazing bars and flat arches, along with three box dormers. The central entrance has a panelled door with a fanlight, set within a rusticated surround and topped by a shell hood supported on consoles. Inside, the house retains some 18th-century panelling and early 19th-century chimney pieces.
