Description

Fort Norris, located on Newbarn Road in East Cowes, dates from around 1800 and was designed by James Wyatt in a Gothick style. The building is constructed of stone rubble and features a small circular tower that stands three storeys high, topped with a castellated parapet. It has casement windows with pointed heads. There is a slightly taller turret on the north side that contains the staircase. A modern addition has been made to the ground floor on the west side.
