Description
East Medina House is a mill house from the second half of the 18th century, characterized by its plain but well-proportioned design. The building is two storeys high and constructed of red brick, topped with a steeply pitched double hipped slate roof and a wooden eaves cornice.
The south entrance front features three recessed sash windows with glazing bars, block sills, and flat brick arches. There is a central recessed modern door, which is framed by a moulded doorcase set in a rendered architrave that has banded rustication, topped with a moulded pedimental hood supported by brackets. The west front is also made of red brick, incorporating grey headers, and has two windows similar to those on the south front, but with the addition of panelled shutters.
