Description

The dove-cote at Arreton Manor dates from the early 17th century and is constructed of Isle of Wight stone rubble with ashlar quoins. The roof features stone slates on the lower courses and tiles on the upper courses, with gables that have kneelers facing east and west. There are blocked casement windows, and the west side includes a two-centred arched window and a dove opening with a hood moulding. Additionally, there is a two-centred arched doorcase also with a hood moulding. Inside, the roof consists of slightly staggered purlins and queen struts, and the nesting boxes are intact in the upper part.
