Description
The Church Hall of St Peter's Roman Catholic Church, built around 1912, is likely designed by J. Kelly. It is constructed of red brick with painted dressings and quoins, which are also present around the door and window openings. The building features a moulded plinth, a slate roof, and coped verges. The hall has a rectangular plan and is oriented with its gable end facing the road, adjacent to St Peter's Church to the south. The gable end includes kneelers and a three-light window with pivoted windows. There is a central round-arched fanlight above double doors, which are flanked by two-light windows, all under a linked entablature. The right side of the building has raking buttresses that rise to the eaves. This hall is included for its group value with the adjacent church.
