Description
This dovecote, located about 20 meters south of Hangleton Manor Inn, dates back to the 17th century and was restored and reroofed between 1983 and 1987. It is constructed from coursed flint pebbles and features a cement frieze and a circular clay tile roof with a half-hipped penthouse. The dovecote is circular in plan, with an entrance on the north front that includes a square-headed doorway and a plank door fitted with a wrought-iron grill. Inside, there are chalk nesting boxes and a renewed potence.
