Description
No. 44 Upper North Street is a terraced house and shop dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is finished in stucco, with a roof that is obscured by a parapet. It stands three storeys tall and features a one-window range. The ground floor has a shop or public house front, which is of 19th-century design, and includes flat-arched entrances on either side with tripartite overlights. There is a bracketed oriel window in the centre, which has 19th-century glazing bars, and a plain fascia above. The upper section features a two-storey segmental bay with tripartite windows and sashes that retain their original design. The building is topped with a cornice and blocking course, and there is a stack on the party wall. The interior has not been inspected.
