Description

The Church of St Saviour is a church built in 1874 by T F Dolman, located on Markhouse Road in Walthamstow. It is constructed of squared coursed rubblestone and features an asbestos slate roof. The church is designed in a geometrical style and consists of a five-bay nave, aisles, and a clerestory, along with a full-height chancel that has a polygonal apse. There is a tower at the north-west corner, which has three stages, an octagonal stair turret, and a broach spire.

Inside, the church boasts richly moulded pointed arcades supported by piers with applied shafts. The clerestory contains two-light windows set within blind arcading featuring detached shafts. The west end has three lancet windows, while the east end features a three-light central window. After a fire in 1945, the roof was replaced at a lower pitch. The church's furnishings include a 19th-century font, pulpit, and reredos.
