Description

Numbers 1-4 Portland Terrace are a pair of Italianate houses dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stucco with hipped slate roofs. The houses are three storeys high, each two windows wide, with a single window set forward in a low tower. Round-headed, pilastered porches provide the entrances at the sides. The centre bays of the ground and first floors feature segmental windows. Pediments surmount the tower windows on the first floor, while the second-floor windows are round-headed.
