Description
Petersham Church Room, built in 1900, is a red brick structure with much rubbed brick, showcasing a blend of Queen Anne and Italianate architectural styles. The building features a two-storey central section that is set at right angles to the road, surrounded by lower parts. It has a pediment made of moulded brick, which includes a large oculus that interrupts the cornice. The prominent corner chimneys add to its character.
The "clerestory" windows are moulded and square-headed, while the "aisles" are designed with four transverse, pedimented gables, each featuring coupled round-arched windows with pedimented returns at the front. The central facade includes a narrow porch with five bays, supported by two central cruciform piers and flanked by rubbed brick Doric columns. An inscription in the frieze reads: "AD 1900. Ellen Walker Thy Kingdom Come. Memorial Church Room." The interior has not been seen.
