Description

The Church of All Saints dates to 1907-8 and was designed by John Kelly in a Romanesque style. It is constructed of red brick and terracotta. The church features an arcaded campanile (bell tower) with a pyramidal roof, topped by a statue, and a six-bay nave. A chancel with a semi-circular apse and ambulatory are also present. A notable feature is the baptistry, which houses a freestanding stone structure reminiscent of a baldachino. This baptistry is octagonal in plan and incorporates a sunken lower level intended for total immersion baptism, and an upper level with a font for baptism by effusion. Access to both levels is provided by stone steps, and the entire baptistry is executed in the Romanesque style.
