Description

The Thatched House and Bushy House, located on Sandy Lane, are a pair of semi-detached houses dating to the late 18th or early 19th century and built in a picturesque "cottage orne" style. They may have originally been a single residence. Each house is two storeys high with three windows. The walls are roughcast, and the roofs are thatched, with patterned cement chimneys. The windows feature decorative "Gothic" glazing. Bushy House has a double-bayed front facing Bushy Park and a single, full-height projecting central bay with an entrance on the road front. The Thatched House features a porch projection facing the Park and a built-out ground floor with a slate roof and a thatched porch on the road front. The interior was not inspected.
