Description
Hermitage House, which is part of the former Queen Anne Hotel, dates from the 18th century or early 19th century and has had 20th-century alterations. The side elevation continues with Church Terrace, which includes Nos 1 to 5. The building is constructed of brick and features a block cornice. It has undergone significant additions and alterations. The entrance on Warrington Road is an early 19th-century design, featuring Doric columns in antis and a large fanlight beneath a bowed and panelled hood that is set forward on the street at the end of a short covered passage.
