The Clarence Hotel is a large public house built in the mid-19th century, featuring two storeys and nine bays arranged in a 2:5:2 pattern. The central bays project forward and have a higher first floor. The building is constructed of stock brick with stucco dressings, and it includes entablatures at both the first floor and parapet levels. The door and window openings in the central bay are adorned with elaborately enriched dressings.
