Description

Christ Church was built between 1862 and 1864 by Sir Arthur Blomfield in an early Gothic style. The church is constructed of rag stone with ashlar facings and features a tiled roof. It has a south-east tower that includes two tall shafted bell louvres on each side and a pyramidal roof. The south aisle is adorned with four cross gables and has two light plate tracery windows with oculi above. A western rose window is located in the gable, and there are porches on either side of the west front. Additionally, a north aisle was added in 1887.
