Description
17 High Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features a yellow brick façade with a painted parapet front and a flat stone capping. A central pediment rises above the parapet level, also made of brick. The entrance includes a Doric porch supported by detached columns, situated beneath a circular-headed Venetian window with bars on the first floor. There are two side splayed bay windows, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, both of which are sash windows with bars. The tops of the bays are shaped in an ogee form and covered with lead. A modern shop front has been added, which affects the left-hand bay, and the entrance door is also modern. The interior of the building has been gutted.
