Description
The Gothic boathouse and pavilion, located on the south shore of the Potomac fish pond in Gunnersbury Park, dates from the early 19th century and was built by the Rothschild family. It features a symmetrical design with a square plan for the basement and ground floor, and octagonal shapes for the first and second floors. The structure is constructed of reddish-brown brick, with stucco quoins, window dressings, floor bands, and battlement copings. It is adorned with decorated Gothic windows that include stone tracery. This site was previously a pottery.
