Description

Osterley House Stables, built around 1575, was likely constructed in anticipation of Queen Elizabeth's visit in 1576. The stables feature a 15th-century archway and are made of red brick. They form a three-sided courtyard, stand two storeys high with attics, and include turrets at the two internal angles, with the open side facing Osterley House. The stables are part of a group that includes Osterley House, the Temple, the Aviary, and the "Roman Bridge" located in the grounds to the north in the borough of Ealing.
