Description
Gatehill Farmhouse is a building that likely dates back to the 16th century. It has been given a red brick exterior in the 18th century and features a new parapet front made of yellow stock brick. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows. It has a fairly high-pitched roof that has been renewed with modern tiles. There is a compound stack of old bricks at the left end and a later chimney at the right. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars, although the centre window on the first floor is blocked. A modern central porch has been added. To the lower left, there is an extension that includes garage doors set under elliptical arches. At the rear, there is a gabled wing. Inside, the farmhouse features exposed beams and a restored inglenook fireplace.
