Description

Nos 268 to 272 on High Street in Harlington are a row of cottages dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, primarily constructed of painted brick. No 268 features a weatherboarded north wing that is of a different build. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of seven windows. The front wall of No 268 has been recased, the roof has been recovered, and a canted oriel bay has been added. Nos 270 and 272 have hipped tiled roofs that are partly hidden by a parapet, and both have two full-height canted bays with hipped, tiled roofs. The windows are early 19th-century sashes. Additionally, No 270 includes a rear addition from around 1840, which features a French door with margin lights.
