Description
The Old Council House is a building of 1913, designed by Harry Prince, situated on the west side of High Street, Harrow-on-the-Hill. Constructed in red brick with stone dressings, it is designed in an 18th-century style. The building is symmetrical, with two storeys and four bays on the first floor and three bays on the ground floor. It features casement windows with mullions and transoms. Stone rustications and a cornice are prominent features, as is the tile roof topped with a large, louvred cupola. A central entrance is defined by a stone pilastered surround and a broken pediment.
