Description

The bridge at the northern end of Walpole Park is an early 19th-century structure, built by Sir John Soane as an enhancement to his garden while he owned Pitzhanger Manor from 1801 to 1811. This rustic classical bridge is constructed of rubble, flint, and dressed stone, featuring three arches, with the central arch being larger than the others. The decorative elements are located on the parapet on one side only.
