Central entrance door with fanlight and radiating bars. Windowless attic with roundels left and right. Square centre panel. Portland stone balustrade above. Two storey, one bay wing right and single storey wing further right projecting at end, Ionic pilasters, dentil cornice.

This was Soane's own country house 1801-11 and thus of great importance. The principal interiors are the entrance hall, staircase, parlour and breakfast room, the latter two little altered. The garden front is also of interest. Three bays, with incised pattened stone pilasters, 'Chinese' balcony screen, and balustraded parapet.
